born to play with clay!

yes, I discovered clay at about 7 years old! the magic and mystery. when you could take a lump of earth, form it, fire it, and now it is a solid object, a moment frozen in time ~ I still have the "thrill" when i open a kiln after a glaze firing, like finding beautiful objects in an un-discovered tomb. clay is so forgiving, although ... as we (potters) all know, it does have a memory and attiude of its own, you can only push it so far. and so on, and so on. just to finish with, its a new day and I cannot wait to get into the studio, so having said that ... off i go!
